The board’s action concerned Ordinance No. 2537-2025, which would amend the official zoning map to change the parcel’s designation from Urban Waterfront to Urban Highway. Development Director Jody Coogler told the board the change would make the property “consistent with the land use pattern and … zoning pattern and development pattern” that exists along the U.S. 1 corridor.
