Middle-school book club 'Dialogue Divas' recognized by committee for student-led literacy work

Committee materials included a letter praising Mrs. Hall for creating a voluntary book club that gives eighth-grade girls enrichment beyond the classroom. Students described the club’s routine: monthly meetings in the library, shared reading and discussion of titles such as Little Women, and creative events including a cookbook-themed meeting where members prepared and shared recipes.
Students said the club has encouraged reading and civil discussion of differing viewpoints. Mrs. Hall told the committee she has seen students exercise leadership and thoughtfulness in conversation; committee members praised the initiative and suggested attending club events.
The recognition was part of the meeting’s student-spotlight series; no committee action was required.
