Board approves consent agenda items; adopts 2025–26 budget calendar with two abstentions

The Cornwall Central School District Board of Education approved routine business on its Feb. 10 consent agenda and adopted the district’s 2025–26 budget calendar during the working session.
The board approved consent agenda items 2, 3, 5 and 6 as submitted by the superintendent. One board member asked that item 4 be pulled for separate consideration.
For item 4, adoption of the 2025–26 budget calendar, the board took a separate motion and vote. Two board members abstained from the vote; the motion carried and the budget calendar was adopted. During the roll call a board member named Carl was identified as voting yes. Board members did not take additional formal votes on the budget itself at the Feb. 10 meeting; staff will proceed with the schedule of budget presentations and return to the board for further action later in the calendar.
