The magistrate provided for daily fines if the violations are not corrected: $250 per day for the fire-alarm permit violation (citing life-safety priority) and $50 per day for combustible storage until each violation is corrected. The magistrate directed the respondent to notify the code enforcement officer when corrections are completed so staff can confirm compliance and close the case.
A representative of the property had earlier contacted staff to say they planned to clean the equipment room; staff reported no further contact on the permit or testing as of the hearing.
