Teaching-and-learning staff told the board that a distinct code would allow HD Carnes to run a schedule more suited to its students’ needs and to have staff assigned directly under that building code rather than being tied to other campuses. The staff recommendation was moved, seconded and approved without amendment.
Board members did not record additional conditions in the public motion. The approval permits district staff to submit the application required by state procedure; any final staffing or schedule changes will return to the board as required by district policy.
