USD 443 board approves technology, equipment and personnel actions; outlines next steps on weight room

The USD 443 Board of Education approved a slate of purchases, personnel resolutions and agreements at its regularly scheduled meeting, voting to award technology and facilities contracts and to adopt personnel-related resolutions.

The approvals consolidate planned capital and operating purchases and address personnel issues and district services. Taken together the items allocate hundreds of thousands of dollars in district funds and adjust employee leave and incentive arrangements.

Board members approved a telephone-system replacement with United for $225,065 and authorized the purchase of 50 Dell Optiplex desktop systems (with 75 monitors and stands) from Sterling Computers for $83,006.76. The board also approved the purchase of four 60-inch Hustler lawn mowers for $79,126.88 and a package of nutrition‑service equipment totaling $374,848.66; several nutrition vehicles were also approved with trade‑in values noted in the staff report.
