House Resolution 9, introduced by Representative Kelly, designates Jan. 26–Feb. 1, 2025, as School Choice Week in Michigan. Representative Kelly invited members to a related event and asked for cosponsorship; the House adopted the resolution by voice vote.
House Resolution 10, introduced by Representative Johnson, designates Jan. 27, 2025, as Holocaust Remembrance Day in Michigan. Representative Johnson said the date aligns with International Holocaust Remembrance Day and urged colleagues to support education and vigilance against antisemitism. The House adopted HR 10 by voice vote.
House Resolution 11, introduced by Representative Schmaltz, designates Jan. 26–Feb. 1, 2025, as Catholic Schools Week in Michigan. Representative Schmaltz noted the number of Catholic schools and students in the state and urged support; the House adopted HR 11 by voice vote.
