The Kansas City, Kansas Board of Education voted to accept the 2025 funds approved by the Wyandotte County Library Board, an annual disbursement that the superintendent said was included in the district’s budget.
The item was presented as a routine, budgeted payment and the library director, Laura Hunt, was on hand to answer questions if needed. Superintendent Dr. Anna Stubblefield said the arrangement with the Wyandotte County Library Board is longstanding and that the payment is an expected part of the budget process.
Board members moved, seconded and approved the recommendation with a unanimous recorded roll call for the members present. No additional discussion or questions were raised during the public vote.
Administration said the funds will be disbursed in January per the fall budget approval. The board did not request further materials at the meeting.
