The nomination came from Council Member Kate Wilts, who said, “I nominate Peter Iverson for chair.” Peter Iverson accepted the nomination; a second was recorded and a voice/roll call vote returned unanimous approval.
The election resolves leadership for PAC business scheduled this year and gives Iverson formal responsibility to shepherd job classification reviews, council referrals and follow-up items that PAC forwards to the full County Council.
The committee proceeded immediately to the rest of its agenda after the vote, including classification reviews and three substantive program discussions.
No additional formal instructions to staff accompanied the chair election; subsequent agenda items proceeded under Iverson’s leadership.
