The Valley View CUSD 365U Board of Education approved a $575,065 contract with Mayneville Construction Company for site improvements at Irene King Elementary School during its Feb. 12 meeting.
The administration reported that nine contractors submitted bids and recommended awarding the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Mayneville Construction Company. “The administration is recommending that the Board of Education approve the contract with Mayneville Construction Company for the site improvements at Irene King for a total amount of $575,065 as presented,” Mr. Renich said.
Board members moved and seconded the recommendation and carried a roll-call vote approving the contract. Amber Satterlund, Amber Campbell, Member Badouris (as recorded in the roll call), Secretary Sikora, Vice President Zak, and President Quigley all voted yes.
The item was introduced as part of capital and facilities business that the district has previously identified in long-term planning and was publicly advertised with bids opened on Jan. 24, 2025. The administration said architects and consultants will finalize scope, schedule and costs for related capital work.
No amendments or conditions were recorded in the meeting minutes; the board approved the award as presented.
