Brookfield board approves park electrical change order, utility easement, Teamsters contract and $1.44M warrant

The Village of Brookfield Board on Feb. 10 approved a set of routine but consequential items including a $37,140 change order for the Eller Park redevelopment, a utility easement to power the Brookfield Shops, a collective bargaining agreement covering Public Works and a corporate warrant of $1,437,210.87.

The change order (Change No. 4) adds $37,140 to the Friedler Construction contract for the Eller Park redevelopment to replace electrical components for a new pavilion. Luke Gunderson, Parks and Recreation director, told the board the electrical equipment identified in the original scope could not be reused after review by White and Company and meetings with the contractor, so the village must install all-new components.

The board approved a grant of utility easement agreement between Compassion United Methodist Church and the Village of Brookfield to run electricity to the Brookfield Shops project in the downtown area. Board members said the church cooperated in locating utilities needed to serve the…
