Planning commission unanimously backs four land‑development code amendments

The Hillsborough County City‑County Planning Commission on Feb. 10 voted unanimously to find four Land Development Code (LDC) text amendments consistent with the unincorporated Hillsborough County comprehensive plan and to forward recommendations to the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners.

The commission approved four separate text amendments that staff said respond to recent storms, clarify the pre‑construction process, enable an expedited residential permitting option tied to state statutory changes, and allow stairway encroachments for elevated homes in flood hazard areas.
