Parent raises safety concerns at Kelly's/Stone Ridge intersection; city manager to follow up

During public comment at the Feb. 6 meeting, Benjamin Eppley, who said he lives in the Stone Ridge subdivision, asked the city to address traffic-safety issues at the Kelly's/Stoneridge intersection where school drop-offs make the morning commute "dicey." He said there is no signage to indicate right-of-way for drivers turning westbound from Kelly's, and reported multiple near-collisions, honking and confrontations during morning drop-off times.
City Manager Aaron Vasilotti told Eppley staff would reach out, likely the next day. The chief of police was present and listening during the public comment. Council members suggested possible work with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to change signal timing or add a protected left-turn signal if appropriate. The council did not take immediate action at the meeting, and staff said they would follow up with the resident and report back.
