The Woodland Park City Council recorded the following formal actions at its Feb. 6 meeting. All motions recorded below passed by unanimous vote unless otherwise noted.
- Appointments: Approval of two applicants to the Keep Woodland Park Beautiful committee (Sheila Jimenez and Terry Vaughn). Motion carried unanimously; oaths administered.
- Consent calendar: Approved the Jan. 16, 2025 meeting minutes and awarded a wastewater treatment plant boiler replacement contract to Sheer Heating and Air Refrigeration in the amount of $114,930. Motion carried unanimously.
- Ordinance (initial posting): Approved ordinance 1491, Series 2025, on initial posting to vacate a lot line and abutting public utility easements common to Lots 17 and 18 of Block 2, Sunnywood Manor filing No. 5; public hearing set for Feb. 20, 2025. Motion carried unanimously.
- Ordinance (easement): Approved ordinance 1488, Series 2025, authorizing the city to grant an access easement across a portion of city-owned property described in reception number 652993 to Charles Taylor Jr. and Laurie Taylor (1050 Laughlin Way). Motion carried unanimously.
- New liquor licenses: Approved a hotel and restaurant liquor license for 8465 Inc. DBA Joni’s Cafe and Bakery at 110 E. Midland Ave., and approved a beer-and-wine liquor license for Sushi Thai at 108 E. Midland Ave. Both licenses were approved by unanimous vote.
Council members registered support for routine land-use and business-license items during the meeting; each vote recorded "motion carries unanimously."
