District shows progress on bleacher replacements and West Henderson security and auxiliary gym work

Photographs shown to the board illustrated the removal of 1960s wooden bleachers and installation of modern seating (green at East Henderson, blue at West Henderson). Staff said remaining work on the bleacher projects includes electrical finishing and inspection. At West Henderson, work on the front entrance, new front office and connecting area between an X Building and the gymnasium continues; staff reported that sod and exterior landscaping are in place and that HVAC connections and interior casework/ceiling grids remain to be finished.
Staff also noted four single-user restrooms and a large custodial/storage area were constructed as part of the West Henderson additions. Board members asked about seating configuration and the potential for removable sections and were told installers communicated scheduling and will complete final touches soon.
