Sen. Chase told the committee that the measure frames aspects of AI as a form of personal expression and added, “The thing about AI is there's so much confusion about it. There's so much concern about it.” Committee members asked clarifying questions but did not pursue an extended debate during the meeting.
Sen. Guthrie moved to send RS 32,179 to print; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
