Committee votes: recommendations on six bills after executive session
Summary
During its Feb. 10 executive session the committee acted on six bills: HB 92 (OTP w/ amend 18‑0), HB 272 (OTP 18‑0), HB 149 (ITL 16‑2), HB 339 (ITL 17‑1), HB 407 (ITL 18‑0), HB 447 (ITL 18‑0).
Following public hearings, the Municipal and County Government Committee met in executive session and took formal recommendations on six bills.
Votes and outcomes recorded by roll call:
- House Bill 92 (prohibiting an individual from simultaneously serving on a local zoning board and planning board): amendment 2025‑0317H was accepted; committee recommended Ought to Pass with Amendment (vote 18‑0). Representative Ellwood offered the amendment; roll call is in committee minutes.
- House Bill 272 (exempting certain agricultural practices from municipal noise regulations): committee recommended Ought to Pass (vote 18‑0).

- House Bill 447 (property tax exemptions for certain disabled veterans): committee recommended Inexpedient to Legislate (ITL) (vote 18‑0).
The clerk called roll for each recommendation and results were entered in committee records; report authors were assigned for the bills slated for the consent calendar. Committee chairs confirmed recommendations will be posted to the House calendar in accordance with rules.
Ending: Several members said they would prepare reports; one ITL recommendation (HB 149) will appear on the regular calendar because of an objection to placing it on the consent calendar.
