The Idaho State Senate on Feb. 7, 2025, adopted a Transportation Committee report recommending confirmation of Robert Bloom to the Aeronautics Advisory Board. The committee report was adopted by motion and voice vote on the floor; no roll-call tally was taken.
Senator Hart introduced Bloom’s nomination, saying Robert Bloom was born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, holds a degree in architectural engineering from the University of Colorado, and built a fixed-base operator and aviation businesses including Stancraft Jet Center. Hart told the Senate Bloom’s business and aviation experience—repair, interior work on aircraft, and business aviation associations—make him qualified for the advisory position.
The Transportation Committee report dated Jan. 30, 2025, recommended the Senate confirm Bloom to a term expiring Jan. 31, 2029. After opening remarks and a brief period for additional debate, the presiding officer announced the ayes had it and the report was adopted; the report will be filed with the secretary’s office and the governor notified.
No conditions, roll-call vote, or subsequent amendments were recorded on the floor during the adoption.
