Senator Dan Hartog, who opened debate on the committee report, summarized Wolf’s qualifications and experience, saying she holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from Idaho State University and has more than 20 years of state service across administrative roles. Hartog noted her experience includes operations for the governor’s senior staff, administration of the Division of Human Resources, interim leadership at the Department of Administration and the Office of Energy and Mineral Resources, and deputy director work at the Department of Health and Welfare.
The State Affairs Committee report dated Jan. 22, 2025, recommended the Senate confirm Wolf to the post, which serves at the pleasure of the governor and oversees the Division of Financial Management’s coordination of state budgeting and financial operations. A motion to adopt the committee report was made on the floor, seconded, and, after brief remarks and no further debate, the presiding officer announced, “The ayes have it.”
The Senate ordered the committee report filed with the secretary’s office and directed notification to the governor of the action.
The nomination now stands confirmed by the Senate; specifics about an official swearing-in date were not provided on the floor.
