Monroe County commissioners approve personnel changes, budget adjustments, grants and contracts in routine meeting

Monroe County commissioners on Jan. 15 approved a series of routine administrative actions covering personnel, contracts, grants and budget adjustments.

The board voted by voice on multiple items: rescinding a previously adopted 2025 position and grid listing tied to the personnel agenda; approving personnel requests for additional hours in the sheriff's department; approving vouchers, payroll and health care benefit transfers; and ratifying travel and capital purchase reports. Commissioners also reappointed members to the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP advisory council, acknowledged completed terms, and approved an amendment to an adoption assistant agreement to correct a date of birth.

Fiscal actions approved included a budget adjustment report dated Jan. 15 totaling $153,564 with transfers from capital reserve for parking deck improvements and assorted fund transfers to cover invoices and deductibles; approval of fund balances for the county liquid fuels fund and Act 44/Act 89 figures; payment to Superheat for $3,823.72 for emergency boiler repairs at the correctional facility; and ratification of a construction change order GC026 for $2,612.44.
