Monroe County commissioners on Jan. 15 approved a series of routine administrative actions covering personnel, contracts, grants and budget adjustments.
The board voted by voice on multiple items: rescinding a previously adopted 2025 position and grid listing tied to the personnel agenda; approving personnel requests for additional hours in the sheriff's department; approving vouchers, payroll and health care benefit transfers; and ratifying travel and capital purchase reports. Commissioners also reappointed members to the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP advisory council, acknowledged completed terms, and approved an amendment to an adoption assistant agreement to correct a date of birth.
Fiscal actions approved included a budget adjustment report dated Jan. 15 totaling $153,564 with transfers from capital reserve for parking deck improvements and assorted fund transfers to cover invoices and deductibles; approval of fund balances for the county liquid fuels fund and Act 44/Act 89 figures; payment to Superheat for $3,823.72 for emergency boiler repairs at the correctional facility; and ratification of a construction change order GC026 for $2,612.44. The board approved the current IRS mileage reimbursement rate of $0.70 per mile effective Jan. 1, 2025, and added vendors to the county vendor list as described in the agenda.
Grant and contract approvals included ratifying authorization for the grants manager to sign a fiscal‑year 2024 Intermediate Punishment Treatment Program (IPTP) contract totaling $89,999 (grant period 07/01/2024–12/31/2025); approving a mosquito‑borne disease control grant for $135,978 and authorizing the finance director to sign; ratifying a continuing county adult probation/parole grant (award number 2024GAD‑ST‑45500) totaling $110,386 for the period 07/01/2024–06/30/2025; and approving a second addendum with Prime Care Medical Inc. to expand medication‑assisted treatment (MAT) services at the county correctional facility if specified utilization thresholds are exceeded.
Other approved items included reappointing Taylor Munoz to the Housing Authority of Monroe County board through Dec. 31, 2029; approving transfers of specified funds from First National Bank to M&T Bank; and ratifying capital purchase reports totaling $1,935.26 and $1,334.35 for the district attorney and maintenance, respectively.
