Sheriff credits multi-agency operation after South Main warrant, warns criminals will be prosecuted

Franklin County Sheriff Sites told commissioners Feb. 5 that a multi‑agency operation early Thursday morning on South Main Street was the result of coordinated work by local, county, state and federal partners and led to arrests tied to recent violent incidents.

The sheriff made the remarks during chairman's time at the Franklin County Board of Commissioners meeting, saying the operation involved Chambersburg Police, the state police CERT team, the U.S. Marshals Service and county staff. "If you commit crime in this county, it will be prosecuted and my office's specific roles, we will find you and we will bring you back," Sheriff Sites said.
