The Lebanon County Commissioners authorized signature on a contract to proceed with the remaining phases of a security upgrade at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility and approved a separate maintenance/service agreement.
Tina, identified in the record as the facility warden, told commissioners the county previously paid $336,000 for phase 1 of the ZipGram security solution. She asked the board to authorize $550,000 for phase 2 and $163,000 for phase 3 (installation, configuration and commissioning), for remaining authorization of $713,000 to complete the system. The board voted to authorize the signature so the vendor can proceed with off-site construction and subsequent installation.
Tina also presented a Johnson Controls proposal and service agreement for ongoing equipment maintenance; the proposal included identified items for replacement and an agreement amount of $2,401.23. The county’s maintenance contractor (CTL) will perform annual renewal assessments; the cost of replacement parts will be covered by the correctional facility budget.
Both motions were seconded and approved by voice vote. The county will proceed with contracting and schedule installation and maintenance work through corrections and facilities staff.
