Senate Bill 12 11, which would change the cap for the Arizona Game and Fish Publications Revolving Fund — reverting monies exceeding $250,000 rather than $80,000 — received a due‑pass recommendation after brief testimony from the agency.
David Fernandez, government affairs for the Arizona Game and Fish Department, told the committee the department does not receive general fund dollars for this purpose and asked for the higher cap to provide flexibility as costs for printing and distribution rise. Fernandez said raising the cap helps the department operate the publications revolving fund more efficiently and allow increased outreach to the public.
There was brief colloquy and one senator explained a protest no vote on other grounds (related to wolves), but the committee returned a favorable recommendation. The secretary recorded 8 ayes, 1 no, 1 not voting on the motion.
