The board also approved agreement TSD-24-225 with the City of Tacoma/Tacoma Creates to reimburse transportation costs for the 2024–25 school year and summer 2025, up to $300,000. Board members thanked Tacoma Creates, the city and voters for enabling after-school busing, field-trip transportation and related services. The motion passed 5–0.
Finally, the board approved amendment number 9 to contract TSD-21-091 with Coors Mo Construction Company for the synthetic fields upgrades bundle project, adding an amount of $3,954,976 for an estimated total contract value of $40,532,911 (excluding sales tax) with the amended term through Dec. 31, 2025. The motion passed 5–0.
