The Gulfport City Council ratified Mac McCree to fill a vacancy on the Zoning Board of Adjustment and Appeals. Council members approved the appointment by voice vote.
Mac McCree introduced himself and described 22 years of service in the U.S. Navy as an information systems technician and his community work as an HOA president. “I spent 22 years in the Navy, as an IT information systems technician, doing work all around the country,” McCree said.
Council members praised McCree’s local engagement. Councilman Kozlowski said McCree had helped with neighborhood improvements, listing roads and streetlights as examples of volunteer work he had led. The council voted to ratify the appointment; the motion carried unanimously.
McCree will serve on the Zoning Board pending whatever administrative onboarding the board requires.
