Resident group says internet, elevators and basic services remain unresolved at CCH Fusion Studios after city contract approval

Jessica Sean Paris, who identified herself as representing Black Star Action Movement for Self Defense, Positive Action Commitment for Self for Change, the Unity Party of Colorado, the Northeast Denver Residents Council and Frontline Black News, said the building’s internet is not working even though “y'all allocated a million dollars to the Internet over there, in the last year and they still haven't got the Internet right.”
Paris said elevators are “still messed up,” there has been no active resident council for about six months and the building has not had a food pantry in roughly six months after a staff departure. She said she has been providing food to residents every Sunday morning in the absence of a pantry.
“Y'all literally allocated a million dollars for that exact reason so they could fix the internet in the building,” Paris said. She also said the city had passed a contract earlier that afternoon related to Fusion Studios but said residents continue to experience outages and service gaps.
Paris asked for attention from council and said she expected a town-hall meeting with her councilmember to address outstanding issues. No city staff response or formal action was recorded during the public comment session.
