Council presents donation to Save the Horses; Bronco Stampede scheduled for May 30–June 1

At the start of the meeting, the Talking Rock Town Council presented a ceremonial donation to Save the Horses, confirming the organization as the animal beneficiary for this year’s Bronco Stampede.

Cheryl Flanagan of Save the Horses attended to accept the check and thanked the council. “We were just really excited … be able to support them. They will be our animal beneficiary for this year's event, which we've already talked about, will be May 30 first, and June 1,” Cheryl Flanagan said.

Council members said Save the Horses had previously donated hay after the town’s harvest day and that the organization will again provide hay this year. Town staff took a photograph with the oversized ceremonial check and council members noted the event dates for planning purposes.
