A county official told the board a resolution supporting Frontier Communications’ efforts to obtain federal and state funding for a broadband expansion project is included in the meeting packet.

The official said Frontier remains the only provider in contact with the county about the project and that the company's point of contact communicates frequently. "They're still the only game in town," the speaker said, and recommended having Jeff sign the resolution on the county's behalf. The speaker said regional coordinator Terry Sullivan had mentioned other interested parties but that none had reached out to the county.

No formal vote on the resolution was recorded during the meeting; the speaker said they had no reservations about asking Jeff to sign the resolution for the county.
