The Pasadena Independent School District Board of Trustees on Thursday approved interviewing six applicants for the superintendent position, approved the district’s order and notice for the May 2025 trustee election, and authorized the sale of 10.115 acres of surplus property at 9129 North Broadway Street in Houston to Summit Acquisitions and Development LLC for $2,875,550.
Trustee Nilda Sullivan moved to set the number of superintendent applicants to be interviewed at six; Trustee Marshall Kendrick seconded the motion. The board approved the motion by voice vote. The board also heard an information briefing from TASB consultants on the search process, interview structure and sample questions; consultants said trustees would conduct a first and second round of interviews and that selected questions had been prepared for candidates.
Trustee Kenny Fernandez moved, and Trustee Nilda Sullivan seconded, approval of the election order and notice for the 2025 Pasadena Independent School District trustee election; trustees approved the motion by voice vote. The board then considered and approved the sale of 10.115 acres of surplus real property located at 9129 North Broadway Street, Houston, Texas, to Summit Acquisitions and Development LLC for $2,875,550. Trustee Marshall Kendrick moved the sale; Trustee Nilda Sullivan seconded; the motion carried by voice vote.
