The items are routine financial and project‑closeout actions the county uses to move funds between project accounts, authorize consultant services and record unpaid utility charges for collection. Commissioners said the actions largely close out completed infrastructure projects and set up design and contracting for next year’s work.
Specific votes and financial items approved during the session included: a maintenance bond for Booth Farms Phase 4 (job number 24-03-204-307); an agreement with Mannik & Smith Group Inc. for services to the Lake County Department of Utilities; appropriation increases for the Armor Stone Revetment at Bacon Road Water Treatment Facility (project 04/2023); transfers for Kellogg Creek sanitary manhole rehabilitation and other waterline and sewer rehabilitation projects; certification of unpaid water and sewer sums and administrative charges; approval of the commissioner payment journal in the amount of $964,920.62; approval of purchase orders totaling $3,665,630.30; and approval of a payment to CT Consultants Inc. in the amount of $11,016.46.
Most measures passed on unanimous recorded voice votes of the three commissioners present. The payment to CT Consultants carried with two recorded votes in favor and one recorded abstention.
Commissioners and utilities staff said design and site work for next year’s projects will begin later this month and that the department expects to bring consultant contracts to the board for consideration in coming weeks.
