Southern Kern Unified Associated Student Body (ASB) announced a Valentine’s-themed spirit week for Feb. 10–14 and a Valentine’s grams sale from Feb. 5–12, school announcers said.
The announcement said ASB set daily dress themes for the week: Monday is “Love Is Blinding,” Tuesday is “Red Flag / White Lies,” Wednesday is “Perfect Pair / Twin Day,” Thursday is an anti‑Valentine’s blackout and Friday is “Relationship Status” (red = single, pink = taken, white = complicated). The ASB representative said, “ASB is hosting a Valentine’s theme spirit week from the tenth to the fourteenth.”
Students also were told that Valentine’s grams will be sold for $5 and include three flowers, one balloon and one note. A student seller told listeners the grams sale runs Feb. 5–12 and said, “For $5, you could get 3 flowers, 1 balloon, and 1 note for your special someone.” The seller added that students without a date may buy a gram for themselves.
Organizers said students can purchase grams through the school office. The ASB representative and student sellers delivered the information during the school’s weekly bulletin recording.
