The St. Mary's County Planning Commission on May 29 approved final subdivision plans for Forest Farm Section 3 Phase 9 (14 lots) and Phase 10 (21 lots), both submitted by Quail Shar Land Development LLC.
Department staff reported no outstanding issues for Phase 9 and said the project had received prior approvals and technical-agency clearances. Phase 9 was presented as ready for final approval with findings of adequate facilities, including stormwater management and sewer EDU adjustments the Maryland Department of the Environment granted in December 2006.
John Norris, representing the applicant, spoke in support and thanked the commission and prior review agencies for work on the roughly 800-acre development; he noted that a public sewer system now serves the community. After staff presentations commissioners moved and seconded approvals. The Phase 9 final plan motion was made and seconded; the commission voted in favor and the motion carried unanimously.
For Phase 10, staff likewise reported that required technical-agency approvals were in place and that Phase 10 represents the final section of the development. A motion to approve the final subdivision plan for the 21 lots passed unanimously.
