Council approves engineering contract and employee pay updates; several ordinances pass on Feb. 4

• Ordinance 25-O-3274 (second reading) — Authorizes the city manager to enter into a contract with Herbert, Roland and Grubick, Inc. (HRG) for design engineering services for the Cole Firestone Park project. • Ordinance 25-O-3273 (first reading; taken off the table) — An ordinance to permit lateral hires within the Police Department. Council moved to take the ordinance off the table; a motion and second were recorded and the roll call shows affirmative votes on the record.
• Ordinance 24-O-3277 (first reading) — Amends chapter 1062 to add section 1062.11 establishing rates for CPR, first-aid and AED training courses offered by a certified city instructor at the Firestone Pool. The item was read on first reading with a motion and second and recorded affirmative votes.
