The actions came during the commission’s regular organizational meeting, where City Manager Nate Pagan explained the selection process for mayor pro tem and commissioners handled routine minutes and appointment votes.
Pagan told the commission that “state law dictates that the board of commissioners include a mayor and four commissioners” and that one of the four must be designated to serve as mayor pro tem and act for the mayor when needed.…
