House receives Senate messages and introduces multiple bills; several referred to committees

The clerk said House bills 4021 through 4035 would be produced and made available electronically. The clerk also announced the receipt of two Senate messages transmitting Senate Bill 1 and Senate Bill 2, both described as bills to amend the Freedom of Information Act; the speaker directed those bills to the Committee on Government Operations for first consideration.
Several House bills were introduced and immediately referred: Representative Rangans introduced House Bill 4036 to amend the higher education authorization and distance educational reciprocal exchange act and referred it to the Committee on Education and Workforce. Representative Rogers introduced House Bill 4037, a bill to amend the public health code, referred to the Committee on Health Policy. Representative VanderWall introduced House Bill 4038, a bill to amend the Insurance Provider Assessment Act, referred to Health Policy. Representative Altman introduced House Bill 4039, a bill to amend the Administrative Procedures Act of 1969, referred to the Committee on Rules.
A joint resolution proposing an amendment to the state constitution (amending sections 1 and 4 of Article 2) was read a first time and referred to the Committee on Election Integrity. Representative Wilson moved to adjourn and the House stood adjourned until Thursday, Jan. 30 at 12:00 p.m.
