The Littlestown Area School District reported that teachers moved into a newly completed high school wing; staff scheduled an asynchronous day for students to allow teachers to finish setup and planned building tours when students return.
Littlestown Area School District said teachers began moving into a newly constructed high school wing and students will get an asynchronous day to allow staff time to complete classroom setup.
District officials said the new wing was occupied by teachers despite recent weather that complicated the move. Assistant Principal Pritz, speaking for Dr. Becker, said staff and teachers worked through logistics and thanked the community and staff for their efforts.
The district scheduled an asynchronous day the day after the move so teachers could finish preparing classrooms. Students will return the following day for building tours to learn how to navigate the new spaces; the district said many students will see the new construction for the first time. The announcement also noted the district completed the first semester and is beginning the second half of the school year.
In a brief addition to the report, the district congratulated the varsity wrestling team and coaching staff for earning a share of the YAIAA Division 3 title; the report named Coach Palaszczuk.
District staff did not propose any formal board action on the new wing during the remarks and gave no timeline for broader public access beyond the scheduled student tours.
