"The richest, most powerful man on Earth, Elon Musk, threw a fervent and unmistakable Nazi salute in the context of assuring the future of civilization by electing Trump," Senator Paul Henke said on the Senate floor, recounting his concerns about the public reaction and naming anti-Semitic flyers that have appeared in his hometown of Flushing.
Henke said the salute dishonored veterans who fought fascism. "Musk dishonored my grandfather and the hundreds of thousands of Americans who died fighting that fascist salute. And he belongs nowhere near the White House," Henke said, and asked that his remarks be printed in the journal.
The Senate recorded the request to print Henke's remarks in the session journal. The floor record does not include any formal action or response from other members to the statement during this session.
