Commissioners open food-service RFPs and authorize review team

Rockingham County commissioners opened competing proposals for the county’s food services and authorized staff to evaluate the submissions and return with a recommendation.
At the start of the meeting, several vendor representatives identified themselves in the room, including Ben Butler of Aramark Senior Life and Steven Proustine and Ozzio Sulu from Glendale Dining Services. Commissioners said there were five proposals in total for the food-services request for proposals.
The board moved to authorize the Senior Director of Long Term Care and the Superintendent of the Department of Corrections to review and evaluate the proposals and return to the commissioners with a recommendation. The motion passed.
