Board approves multiple consent purchases and agreements, including Dell staff computers and HVAC work; NAU consortium agreement OK'd

- Purchase: Four multifunction school activity vehicles (Mohave Cooperative contract 23DCSBS0905): Approved unanimously. Staff said these 14-passenger white-fleet vehicles will replace aging 2009 vehicles and can be driven without a commercial bus license, easing transportation for activities and events.

Board comments and context

Board members and staff said many purchases were planned under the district’s voter-approved bond and that committees (information technology committee, bond committee) participated in vendor and scope recommendations. Staff often defended single-source or cooperative-contract purchases on grounds of specialized capability, required integration, and total value, while at least one public commenter asked for multiple bids and greater transparency on large procurements.
