Milford CTE leaders plan public presentations as petitioners prepare fall‑back warrant for roof repair

She also said a community member at a recent school board meeting announced work on a possible petition to place a separate warrant article on the town ballot that would authorize roof repairs if a larger CTE renovation warrant fails.
"I'm very concerned about not updating our equipment. We have a lot of old, outdated equipment, and our local budget and Perkins allocation is not healthy enough to get us up to date in a timely manner," Belcourt said.
Belcourt said the petition effort was being circulated under Representative Sheehan and supported by Representative Daniels; she added the petition plan was not yet verified. She described the petition as a contingency so voters could still approve roof repairs in the event the full renovation warrant did not pass.
The committee did not take formal action on the renovation or the petition during the meeting; members heard the update and noted the dates for public events and steering‑committee meetings.
If the petition is filed and certified for the warrant, it would appear on a future town ballot; Belcourt and other speakers did not state whether specific cost figures or a final warrant text have been prepared.
