City Manager Fletcher told the commission the Department of Public Works seeks the budget amendment to cover expenditures from the Hurricane Milton response. Fletcher said the $130,000 increase will keep the district funded through the year and that the amendment is funded 100% by FEMA reimbursement.
Commissioner Langdon moved to adopt Resolution 2025-R-14 as presented; Commissioner Duval seconded. The commission voted 5-0 in favor, with Mayor Stokes, Vice Mayor Emrich, Commissioner Langdon, Commissioner Duval and Commissioner Petro voting yes. The resolution, as read into the record, amends the Solid Waste District budget for fiscal year 2024-2025 to account for hurricane-related expenses in the amount of $130,000.
