The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee convened in executive session at the beginning of its Feb. 5 meeting and adopted the committee’s budget resolution by voice vote.
Chairman Tim Scott moved to approve the budget resolution and called for the voice vote; “Aye” and “The ayes have it” were recorded, and the committee voted to adopt the resolution and order it reported to the full Senate. The chairman asked unanimous consent to allow staff to make technical and conforming changes and to waive the committee rule; the committee heard no objection and so ordered.
The motion was adopted by voice vote; no roll‑call tally was recorded in the committee transcript. The committee then adjourned the executive session and proceeded to the public hearing on debanking.
