The Planning Board on Jan. 13 approved a condominium subdivision at 264 South River Road so the developers can pursue financing for a 48-unit workforce housing project.
Katie Weiss of Bedford Design Consultants explained the request: the development was conditionally approved in October; financing terms for the workforce-housing program required separating the two apartment buildings into distinct condominium units while creating a common-area condominium for shared parking and site infrastructure. The applicant provided draft condominium documents assigning joint ownership and maintenance responsibilities for shared areas.
Board members had no substantive objections; the board approved the condominium subdivision subject to the staff precedent conditions listed in the staff report. The approval clears a procedural step so the developer can move forward with financing and then return for any further site-plan or permitting steps required by the October conditional approval.
Votes and motion
