Edgewood staff proposes surplus of two aging pool cars; prior auction items sold

Public works staff told the Edgewood City Council at the Feb. 4 study session that the city plans to surplus two pool cars that have surpassed a decade of service and have more than 100,000 miles.
“...we have 2, pool cars here at City Hall that are both over a decade old and over a hundred thousand miles. And we were, going to surplus both of those vehicles and get on more reliable vehicle,” Chuck, a city staff member, told the council. Chuck said some equipment listed for auction last month had been sold.
No formal council action or vote was recorded during the study session; staff indicated the intent to surplus the vehicles and to replace them with more reliable transportation. Council members did not raise objections during the discussion recorded in the transcript.
