Larson said the commission will continue permit processing, consultations with the Puyallup Tribe and coordination with WSDOT and the Puget Sound Regional Council.
Staff said some City Center implementation items will follow adoption of the comprehensive plan elements and that the planned action ordinance may be adopted after the comp‑plan update. Council members were offered the chance to propose changes; staff said the commission’s recommendation will return to the council later this spring for action.
Ending: If adopted on the proposed timeline, the Planning Commission will forward a recommendation on the 2024 periodic update in April 2025 and continue complementary planning work through the year.
