The consent agenda, moved by Council member Holsey and seconded by Council member Gathers, included approval of payroll vouchers (Jan. 10 payroll and benefits of $695,619.16), claim vouchers (checks numbered 126804 through 126952 totaling $3,590,187.45), ACH transactions totaling $1,147,299.89, approval of Jan. 14 council meeting minutes, the 2025 Planning Commission work plan, and three resolutions: #21‑95 authorizing purchase of property from Pape Properties Inc. in lieu of condemnation; #21‑96 authorizing a contract with CR Construction LLC for the Taylor and Milwaukee Way water intertie upgrade project; and #21‑97 authorizing a contract with SCJ Alliance for the Twentieth Street multimodal phase 2 design work. The council also approved the 2025 council liaison appointments as part of the consent agenda.
Later in the meeting, the council voted to increase City Manager Derek Matheson’s annual salary by 2% effective Feb. 1. Deputy Mayor Murphy moved the increase; Council member Fagundes seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
All votes on consent and the salary motion were recorded as unanimous voice votes at the meeting. The council did not take public comment on these routine items beyond those included in the meeting record.
