Committee approves beer and wine license for Green Bay Cookie Company storefront

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. — The Public Works and Protection Committee on Feb. 4 approved a Class B beer and Class C wine license request for Tattered Whisk LLC, which operates as the Green Bay Cookie Company at 904 Hanson Road.
Anthony Dunn, speaking for the owner Erica Dunn, said the shop expanded from a home-based cottage bakery and now fills large custom orders—"she does about 10,000 cookies a year for the Packers"—and wants to offer beer and wine along with food at in-store events and classes. "People have mentioned to her that they would like to have beer and wine available to accompany the food and make that a positive experience," Dunn said.
Staff told the committee there is no local cap on this type of license; the motion to approve was made and seconded and the committee carried the motion. Committee members asked about the business model, food availability and the storefront address, which Dunn confirmed as 904 Hanson Road.
The license allows the business to offer beer and wine at its premises and at small hosted events such as cookie- and decorating classes and other community activities. The committee recorded the approval and will forward the matter according to routine licensing procedures.
