Facilities update: Battle Creek punch list, Santa Fe septic replacement design targeted for spring bids

Hall said Santa Fe faces an aging septic system and staff have been working with soil engineers and state agencies to find a site and system design. He reported soils work is complete in a probable location on the district's side of a creek and said a construction plan should be available within two weeks for submission to state health officials. Hall estimated rough planning numbers of $500,000 to $800,000 for the Santa Fe project but said exact costs depend on bids and site conditions.
Hampshire school also has an older system that collects groundwater; Hall said that site will be investigated further. Separately, staff described progress on athletic facility projects (concession stands, bathrooms, parking lot work) with excavation at Cox and upcoming paving evaluations for repairs across the district.
