Defense requested that the court not issue a warrant because the courthouse had been closed and the defendant may have had difficulty; the prosecutor noted Sandoval had previously appeared by Zoom and had been given dates orally.
The judge said she would enter an FTA and set the matter for a pretrial on Feb. 24 at 9 a.m., ordering that notice be mailed to the updated address. The court said it could find an FTA without immediately issuing a warrant and directed that the new notice allow sufficient time for delivery given recent weather and mail conditions.
